It is imperative, after so much work to be removed from the High Profile List we do not let our efforts slide.
Our Breed is still being monitored and will continue to be, so we must be careful not to show exhibits who show excess of any kind. It is also important that judges do not award those showing excess - we are still governed by the KC Breed Watch

We have 200+ Basset Hounds in the Health Certificate Scheme, and all at different levels amazing achievement.

Breed Health Conservation Plan
Being one of the 15 original HIGH Profile Breeds, later Category 3, mean we were the first batch of breeds to undergo the Breed Health Conservation Plan.
This document has been produced in conjunction with the Kennel Club and the Basset Hound Health Group
